U. This cheese dates back to the time of Admiral Lord Nelson who in 1801 was sent some by his father as a gift. Well-known in the 18th and 19th centuries, veteran cheesemaker Graham Padfield tracked down the recipe for Bath Cheese in an old grocer’s recipe book, and the rest is history.
